The CRYPT is a new restaurant that is officially opening its doors to the public on Friday 19 April 2013, and after loosing venues like the Green Dolphin and Speedway Cafe, this new venture has come at the right time for Cape Town. Giving jazz musicians another platform to showcase their talents. The media launch was held on Wednesday 17 April. To see one of the sites recommending/listing the new venue check out the link below:
The restaurant promises to have quality live jazz music 5 nights a week and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12:00-23:00. The live jazz cover is only R45, for 18:00-21:00 on Tuesdays-Fridays and 20:00:23:00 on Saturdays.
Lee Gold Collective will be performing The CRYPT's first public gig, but Friday night is already sold out! However, the awesome thing about this venue is that each band performs two nights in a row, so you can still catch Lee Gold on Saturday 20 April. I suggest that you book soon so as not to avoid disappointment: 079 683 4658
What to look out for next week:
Tues 23 and Wed 24 April: ERROL DYERS Quartet
Thurs 25 April: EMILY BRUCE Quartet
Fri 26 and Sat 27 April: AMANDA TIFFIN Trio
